The government has taken an initiative to help the farmers in Rajasthan. The government will buy 1,000 drones for Rs 40 crore to help farmers spray pesticides safely, effectively and at a faster rate. According to officials, this technique will increase the income of farmers and reduce the cost of spraying.
Training will be given
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took this decision during the review meeting of the state's agriculture budget on Wednesday night. Drones will be made available to village service cooperative societies and farmer producer organizations (FPOs). Farmers will also be given training to operate and use drones.
'Innovators will be honored'
CM Gehlot said that in order to increase productivity and income, seeds of improved varieties should be made available to the farmers at affordable rates, and also said that those who innovate in agriculture will be honored by the government. He said that farmers should be motivated by demonstrating advanced farming techniques.
