District Agriculture Office Katihar organises Training Programme for Spraying of fertilizers using Drones

Katihar: A training program for the in-charge of the sales center was organized in the auditorium of the District Agriculture Office. In which a large number of fertilizer vendors of the district participated. In this program, Chief Guest District Agriculture Officer Dinkar Prasad Singh and IFFCO State Marketing Manager Someshwar Singh inaugurated this training camp. On this occasion, the District Agriculture Officer asked the fertilizer sellers to sell fertilizers at the prescribed price and maintain the register of fertilizers properly. He appealed to promote nano liquid urea.

The State Marketing Manager, while assuring that proper fertilizers would be made available in the district, highlighted the importance of nano urea. Told that three and a half crore metric tonnes of urea are consumed in the country. In which about 25 million metric tonnes of urea is produced in the country and 10 million metric tonnes of urea is imported from abroad. Which costs the government a lot. While the government is also giving subsidy to the farmers on this. He said that due to excessive use of urea in the field, the field is also becoming barren. Whereas better production can be taken by spending less on nano urea. Said that 500 grams of nano urea, equivalent to one sack of urea, does not harm the fertility of the field while working better. Told that very soon Nano DAP will also be available to the farmers in the market.

He also emphasized on the changing method of farming in the country and abroad and appealed to the farmers to inform about it. Said that in view of the shortage of laborers, very soon work is being done to spray medicines and fertilizers in the field through drones. Due to which better farming can also be done in less cost. He also talked about providing a machine for spraying nano urea. Told that at present 35 thousand committees are associated with IFFCO. On this occasion, IFFCO's personnel, including Aatma's Deputy Project Director SK Jha, along with Agriculture Officers of Katihar, Manihari and Barsoi subdivisions were present.
