New Delhi. ITI students are going to get a chance to study drone course from the academic session 2022-23. Its curriculum and blueprint have been designed by the Directorate General of Training (Directorate General of Training) under the directions of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation. In the Union Budget 2022-23, there is a mention of the study of drone courses. Under this, from the upcoming session, there will be an option to study drone courses and drone startup in selected ITIs of the country.
On the other hand, the Union Ministry of Skill and Entrepreneurship has also started preparations for drone courses and training in ITI to connect with new age employment. With the provision in the budget, now its guidelines are being sent to the state governments and ITI management. According to the senior official, after getting the policy and approval, now drones will be a great option for the students making a future in the field. So far, even in institutes like IITs, there is no course or study about drones. This is a great opportunity for ITI students to join the new age employment by enrolling in Drone course.
To be used in agriculture, defense and transport sector
'Drone Shakti: Startup' has also been approved in the Union Budget. Its purpose is to promote drone manufacturing startups. Drones will be used as a service. Farmers will also do the work of identification of crops, land records and spraying pesticides with drones. Apart from this, do the work of delivering medicine, food, water etc. in hilly areas and during disaster. At the same time, if an accident occurs, it can also be ascertained whether there is any person in the disaster site. Apart from this, there are plans to use drones in the defense sector as well.
Opportunity to study in these courses
The Directorate General of Training, under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has designed a special course and training course and blueprint for studies related to drones in ITI. In this 'Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), Drone Technician Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS), Drone Pilot' Drone Pilot (Refresher Course), courses and training programs in the trade have been prepared. Apart from this, short term courses in Drone Assembly/Repair/Coding etc. have also been designed by the Sector Skill Council.
Course will be valid abroad also
The Directorate General of Training has also got the qualification tag on drones approved under the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) for implementation in ITIs. After getting this tag, those who do the course will not face any problem in starting their job or work abroad, not only in India. Actually it will be valid there too. The above programs will be started in select ITIs of all the states. In addition, NSDC and SSC will also help in implementing this training program through various industry associations. It will also take into account the multi-skilling needs of the ministries of agriculture, chemicals and fertilizers etc.
